Diocese of Armidale
The Armidale CSO provides educational, administrative, ICT, industrial, financial and employment services and support for the 24 Catholic primary and secondary schools spread across the second largest diocese by area in New South Wales.
The Diocese of Armidale is led by Bishop Michael Kennedy and covers a significant portion of North Western NSW. Within our boundaries are the major centres of Armidale, Tamworth, Gunnedah, Moree, Narrabri and Inverell and 15 other towns ranging from Tenterfield in the north, Quirindi in the south and Walgett in the west.
There are 5647 students across our 24 schools. 510 are of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. The Armidale Diocese has 5 Aboriginal Nations within it’s boundaries:
